Welcome to the website of the Greater Seattle Service League! We are a group of mid-century women (last century, not this one!) who have combined our long-standing friendship with our passion for life-long learning and community service.

For over thirty years, we have been working together to support Childhaven, a King County nonprofit organization that serves children between the ages of one month and five years who have been abused or neglected, or are at risk.

SUPPORTING AKIN (formerly Childhaven)

 

The Greater Seattle Service League’s (GSSL) main fundraising effort is to support AKIN (formerly Childhaven).

Over the years, GSSL has joined the many supporters who believe that all children deserve a lifetime of well being in donating to Childhaven’s fundraising campaigns. We will continue to support Akin, the January 2024 merger of Childhaven and Children’s Home Society of Washington, in its efforts to advance child and family well-being, strengthen parent-child relationships, and develop a skilled child and family support workforce.
